About us:
Dawn is a semi-casual raiding guild on Alleria US.  We began in The Burning Crusade as a progression guild and most of our members have been playing since release or even beta.  Some of our members have participated in World Firsts and we’ve played with many people in current top 10 guilds.  We’re taking Wrath of the Lich King less seriously, but we’re still seeing all content and focused on meaningful achievements (ie drakes, frostwyrms, etc). 

Some of us do a fair bit of PvP/Arena when we're not alting or raiding.

Raid Schedule:
We usually start around 8pm server time (CST) and continue until 11-12pm.  Currently clearing content on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Monday.

Loot:
Loot is based on a DKP system.  Points are gained for time spent.

Raid Invites:
Raid composition for a given encounter will always be the top priority in determining who is invited to a raid.  However, we strongly consider performance, attitude and especially attendance.

Step 1:  Create an account to post on this forum.
Step 2:  Use this form to generate your application.  We are not assessing your gaming talent via your writing skills, but you should still spend an appropriate amount of time and effort on your responses.  Your application is probably your first impression, so make it a good one.  We will look at your armory, meters, achievements, gear score, and anything else you care to add.  We also take into account your history to get perspective from where you are coming.

Things we require of you:
- Properly gemmed and enchanted gear
- A talent spec that makes sense
- Proficient knowledge of your class
- Competence, Willingness and Ability to continually push difficult encounters.

- Deadly Boss Mods

Things you should know:
- Your application will be posted in a private forum to be reviewed.  We will respond within a few days if we are interested.
- Being geared does not guarantee a trial so please write a good application.
- If we are interested in you, we will contact you in-game and place you in a 2-4 week trial period.  This is mostly to check that you are not an ass and are a competent player.  Becoming a recruit or coming along on raids does not guarantee a spot in the guild.
- While we don't necessarily berate poor play you need to be able to deal with criticism and seek to improve your own play.  At times we're crass and rude although chat is generally clean.
- We are not interested in loot whores, drama queens, douche bags or retards (RIP Tyrt).  You need to be talented at playing your role/class.  Most of us have seen raiding at the highest level.  If you can't do things like decurse, taunt, not stand in fire, stupid petbar tricks, deaggro or otherwise not kill yourself while performing your basic role then you won't be very happy in Dawn because we won't be very happy with you.  On the other hand, this guild isn't for you if you need to chase every achievement, grab every piece of loot, or catass the entire week.

Don’t be a douche, have talent and have something of a life.
